Not everyone loves Angel of Darkness equally. For some it's the best in the series, for others the worst. I personally rank it somewhere in the middle.
Other than Angel of Darkness, which Tomb Raider game do you like the most?

It's always one of the toughest questions to answer! Accounting for everything, I'm going with The Last Revelation. It was the beginning of AoD story, without being very chained to it, and it had some of the best level design, voice acting and super complex puzzles!
ReplyDeleteThe classics, basically. 1,2,3. If pushed, TR1.
ReplyDeleteI thought Underworld was quite good but they muffed it by not finishing it and not being 100% convincing in the way they included Amanda and Natla, though it was good to see them. If it had been about 5 times longer, could have been a classic.
Tomb Raider 3 - my first TR game! I was new to gaming at the time so I was not very co-ordinated, and I ended up sending Lara backwards down the slope at the beginning of the game and landing her in a spike pit. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI'm still partial to TR1. I know it's not as elaborate and well fleshed-out as 2 or 3, but it was my first Tomb Raider and I imprinted on it. TR2 and 3 are close, but after that, things got muddy. Still, as I've said many times, even the "worst" Tomb Raider is still a hell of a lot better than most other games.
ReplyDelete...Tomb Raider 2 would be my favorite ,simply because it was the first one I played. Tomb Raider:The Last Revelation would be a very close second because ancient Egypt has always fascinated me...
