Max, the winner of last summer's Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light contest, has at last received his prize from Sideshow Collectibles. From the photos and video he made to show off the statue, it looks awesome!

LEGO Lara Croft Tomb Raider
Today I want to give a shout-out to another fan whose work I admire. Jason Scott (a.k.a. iJayzon) makes wonderful stop-motion animated videos starring LEGO Lara Croft.
As you probably know, I'm a big fan of both LEGO and Tomb Raider. One of my other sites, brickraiders.net, features LEGO Indiana Jones game walkthroughs, and there's nothing I'd like to see more than a LEGO Tomb Raider game. I don't know if that'll ever happen, but Jason's movies are the next best thing.
If you love LEGO too, check out Lara Croft vs. Sophia Leigh in Tomb Raider III below, as well as the other videos on Jason's YouTube channel, and visit his LEGO Lara Croft Tomb Raider site. Along with clips and screenshots from his movies, there's a great section on making your own Lara Croft LEGO minifigure. Fun stuff!

Tomb Raider Tunes
Peter Connelly, composer and sound designer for Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness, has released two compilations of his TR game soundtracks on SoundCloud.
"Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness - Original Abbey Road Mixes (2002)" contains 31 tracks, co-written with Martin Iveson and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, including rare and previously unreleased mixes and cut scene background music.
"Tomb Raider IV - The Last Revelation Soundtrack" includes 67 tracks, the most complete Last Revelation collection ever released. Along with the familiar game score and incidental music are cut scene and FMV tracks without overdubbed dialogue, and a few tracks that never made it into the final game.
Listen/download below. Visit Peter Connelly's SoundCloud page for more of his music.
Also in Tomb Raider music news, Cavalier Kalm of Crowdsource Inspiration, a musical collective that seeks its inspiration online, recently wrote and released the Lara Croft-inspired ballad "A Woman’s Clever Ways." Listen to the song and find out more on Crowdsource Inspiration's on SoundCloud page and Tumblr blog.
Thanks to The Music of Tomb Raider for sharing the Peter Connelly links, and to the Official Tomb Raider Blog for turning us on to Crowdsource Inspiration.

Official Tomb Raider Site Relaunched
I assume you all follow the Official Tomb Raider Blog, so I don't usually re-post Meagan's announcements here. However, I thought a little roundup might be in order this week since, (a) I haven't posted anything here in a while and (b) the developers seem to be gearing up for a big news dump about the upcoming game. So, in case you missed the recent announcements....
Tombraider.com, the official game portal, has been redesigned. All the podcasts, videos, screenshots and other media are now collected and organized for easy perusal. There are also new sections for fan sites and fan art, plus information on the TOMB RAIDER-Geocaching initiative launched back in January.
The Official Tomb Forum is hosting another contest in which fans are invited to create a piece of original Tomb Raider fan art BY HAND and submit it on the forum for a chance to win a signed sketch by Crystal Dynamics Art Director Brian Horton—or one of several other prizes.
They've also updated the TOMB RAIDER Game F.A.Q. on the forum.
I hope to have more news on the new game very soon.
