If you play Tomb Raider on the PS3 or Xbox 360 have you unlocked all the trophies/achievements? If not, which ones are you missing? If you play on the PC or Mac (or if you only play the classic games) do you do set other challenges for yourself? All secrets, all kills, *no* kills, speedruns, etc.?
A while back we did a brainstorming session to come up with achievements for the classic games. You're welcome to contribute by commenting on that post as well.
I've unlocked all the achievements for Legend and Guardian of Light. I have 805/1000 points in Anniversary, since I still haven't beaten the game on Hard on the Xbox or done the time trials. FWIW, I did do it on the PC. I've also unlocked all the Underworld achievements except the "Right of Passage" in Lara's Shadow (don't know if I'll ever manage it) and Master Speed Demon, which glitched in my game. I did Speed Demon I, II, and III in order in the same playthrough but the final achievement never unlocked. :( Someday I'll try it again.
ReplyDeleteI also don't have the extra 250 Legend achievements for buying and beating the add-on version of Anniversary. Since I already own the Xbox 360 and PC versions on disk, it just seems silly to buy yet another version of the game just for a few measly points.
As for classic challenges, I'm always tinkering. I've gotten all kills, items, and secrets, numerous times in all the games, but I think my greatest achievement is completing The Lost Valley in TR1 with no kills. Someday I'll redo it and record video for proof, but for now you'll just have to take my word for it.

on playstation 3 i'd plaitmuimed 100% Tomb Raider Underworld
ReplyDeleteI have got all but 1 of the achievements on the Guardian of Light for Xbox which is the "Collect all relics" achievement. I'm really not close on Underworld, I find it really hard to perfect the swan dives for the "Swan Dive over high water" achievement.
ReplyDeleteAlthough it's kinda nice to hear the chime of
ReplyDeletean acheivement, don't really pay too much
attention to them. Have tried a couple of different challenges with the first two games including getting through TR1 without using any health packs.
Other than Guardian of Light, which I played on the Xbox 360, I've played all the others on PC. I have collected everything there is to collect and all time trials for Legend, Anniversary and Underworld, and I also have unlocked all single-player achievements for Guardian of Light. As for the older TR games, I always did my best to find as many secrets as possible, but I never found all of them. Speed Runs I have only done for Sonic the Hedgehog games and Portal games (besides the Time Trials for the Crystal Tomb Raider games).
ReplyDeleteI always try to "maximize" every game. If I don't succeed I'm disappointed as #@!%&/(/+.. Haven't been able to chase the achievements/trophies though since I'm strictly a PC-gamer. And I wasn't able to do the time trial @ St. Francis' Folly in Anniversary without using the "infinite health" cheat. Didn't find all the secrets in TR3 either. But I think I will replay TR3 someday soon.
ReplyDeletehavent unlocked all achievements on underworld or anniversary yet. trying to. i havent even unlocked any of the outfits on legend yet either.
ReplyDeleteI've found most of the trophies. I've always enjoyed trying to find "no kill" solutions.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of the achievements on 360 but I don't put myself out for them. On the older games I always try to get as many secrets as I can.
ReplyDeleteI mainly play the classics and my goal is always always all secrets.
ReplyDeleteOh, and all items!
ReplyDeleteAchievements I still need to get: Refinery Speed Run (TRULS), Right of Passage (TRULS) and Tomb Raider (GOL)
ReplyDeleteI'm bad at time trials so I can't do any of those, but other than that I try to get all of them.
