For those following the Tomb Raider Cooperative Play topic, here's an update. TR2 and 3 received the most votes in our informal poll, both here and on the Facebook page. Ideally I'd like to replay both, so how about we do TR2 now and TR3 later in the summer, after the Guardian of Light?
If you're interested, please meet at the Lara Croft Online Forum, where I've started a new thread. Then everyone can introduce themselves and we'll get started. Looking forward!
P.S. Please be sure to read the forum guidelines when signing up. I'm sure you'll all play nice, but a little reminder can't hurt. :)
This sounds like a great idea, but as I said on the FB page, I couldn't get TR3 to run, so I don't hold out much hope for TR2. I'll take a peek, and look at your troubleshooting tips. I'm pretty sure though I have looked at the tips in the past and they did not work for me. Have fun in any case!
ReplyDeleteFree tech support is part of the service. ;) Just stop in on the LCO forum thread. People are already posting their waaaaay backward compatibility issues. We'll get you up and running if at all possible.
ReplyDeleteyeah it's great. really
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited about you re-doing TR3! That was the first walkthrough of yours I used when I was like 11 and first bought the game (my first TR game) and I'm sad to say I still have NOT beat it (having gone on to beat TR 1, 4, AoD, Legend, and Anniversairy thanks mostly to your walkthroughs! For some reason I'm completely stuck on a London level (forgot which one) and I think your walkthrough is not clear enough for me to figure out what to do, or wasn't last time I tried a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteI popped on the PS1, and am busy in the diving area level! Nice to go back to this game, as the first time I played it I was going through my first winter away at grad school, with all my roomies and girlfriend at the time out of town, in a house with a blown out heater! Not great times, but the game, which was an xmas present that year, got me through.
ReplyDeleteThe game has both big pros and cons for me. I didn't (and still don't) like all the killing. Gratuitous violence in this game. However, the fact that enemies' corpse you've killed stay put and don't disappear is something I wish all adventure games would bring back. If a game is going for some sort of reality, then the trail of bodies you leave behind would remind us of what we're doing.
Regardless, I'm in the swing of the game, and having fun now (of course I'm peeking at the walkthrough from time to time to get me through)!
Thanks, Stella!
