The first video trailer for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light premiered last night on Spike network's Game Trailers TV. What do you think?
P.S. Yes, that's Keeley Hawes's voice you hear. She'll be reprising the role of Lara Croft in this game. (This post was updated 5/21.)
Yuck
ReplyDeleteLooks awful!!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does everything look really far away? Usually the camera is right behind Lara. In this one it looks like the camera is in a helicopter.
ReplyDeleteI am willing to give it a chance and have an open mind about it :). Can't wait~! <3 Lara
ReplyDeleteWell I love Lara very much and all her adventures, this looks great of course, but look camera just like Star said:Looks like the camera is in helicopter:(
ReplyDeleteI don't like games like this when camera is up:(
But I will thry this game anyway, but I don't think it well be very fun to me:(
Hopefully the wonky camera angles were for the commercial only. That's what I'm telling myself! :)
ReplyDeleteLike most of you, I am also a bit troubled by the distant camera-view. Sort of doesn't feel like the real stuff and the "raiding" I've gotten used to over the last 13-14 years... // Pia
ReplyDeleteI understand why some people don't like the isometric perspective, but I don't have a problem with it. I've played a bunch of great games that use it. It's just a different style than what many of us are used to. Instead of Tomb Raider with a screwed up camera, I prefer to think of it as "Dungeon Siege Starring Lara Croft". ;)
ReplyDeleteHate how the camera angle is so far up. Can't wait to see what they are goong to make tr9 like.
ReplyDeleteViacom appears to have blocked the trailer on copyright grounds, so now it is impossible to view it...oh well
ReplyDeleteThat's odd. I'm still able to watch it. I wonder if it's a regional thing.
ReplyDeleteTry searching YouTube for "Lara Croft Guardian of Light official trailer" or go to the source: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-debut-lara-croft/100216.
If you still can't see it, let me know and I'll post a link to the original file from Crystal Dynamics.
I figured out what was wrong. Apparently the video is allowed but embedding from YouTube to other sites is not. Weird. So I replaced the embedded video with a link. Enjoy. :)
