This week Steam added a roster of classic Tomb Raider titles to its extensive offerings. GOG (Good Old Games) has had all six games for a while. Their prices are a bit better, but keep an eye on Steam as they hold frequent sales and special offers.
If you never played the originals, now's a great time to catch up before the new game comes out in March. And what a thoughtful holiday gift for that budding raider friend or relative. ;)

I love the Classic TR games because it took a little brain power and finesse not just shoot-em-all.
ReplyDeleteI love the games because they bring a uniqueness of puzzle solving, exploration and overall amazing gameplay that not many games offer today.
ReplyDeletePuzzles, scenery, huge exploration, and scares from natural world enemies and obstacles. Even though there was a linear storyline, you could get almost anywhere you could see (even if you needed a corner bug every once in awhile)!
ReplyDeletehello....all the clasics are on Thepiratebay.se....:))..but gog.com is a very nice site
ReplyDeleteLove the older games!! When I first started to play, I was hooked instantly! I loved all the free roaming exploring you could do, especially when looking for hidden objects. Gave staying up all night a new name! :)
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite class Tomb Raider is TR 3 the the reason for that is casue core design did a epic job on developing the game for lara and they did with the game's engier i wish they would do a remake HD For the This gen or next gen console
ReplyDeleteThe first video game I ever played was tomb raider 1 on the original playstation and I fell in love the series has been my Favorite since it's debut until now. I love everything about the games the puzzles and gameplay the story. I'm a big fan. And now that they are on steam that just makes it all better.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little kid, I used to play TR III. That was so wonderful! I'd really like to play the classics again after some time now, nothing can stand up against the original games in my opinion. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of your TR Walkthroughs, Stella! For a number of years now I've been following them, truly the most comprehensive and clearest on the internet from any other Tomb Raider Walkthrough guides. :D
ReplyDeleteI would like to be given a Steam code for Tomb Raider 1 or 2 since I own all of the remaining other Tomb Raider titles on PC, except for the first two!
Many Thanks,
Rahul

ReplyDeleteI started playing Tomb Raider from my six years old. My first Tomb Raiders were The Dagger of Xian and The Last Revelation. I remember never cried so much in my life as with The Last Revelation, At the same time I though it was over my childhood to see the death of my beloved hero; despite everything inside me I knew that she would still be alive. I have been playing all Tomb Raiders despite setbacks that might have (TRAOD's mechanics) ... Still love it The Angel of darkness, the story was amazing and love for the first time in the life of Lara (at least in the games, in the films appear relationships in Lara's life). Then I was shocked out with Crystal's triology, Lara's mother death in Underworld ... all these things make me continue to love Tomb Raider Lara Croft and I would be happy to have them on Steam and I will never lose it because the digital version is forever, and the amazing thing is it works with the most current versions of Windows.
