Updating the Classic Game Guides for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered

Valentine's Day and the launch of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered  is now just a few days away. Can I get a whoo-hoo!? I will be updating the classic guides for all three games and their expansions, but this will take time. A few generous players have offered to help with video walkthroughs and PC save files (thanks, Eldincy and Draxx Yaruga!), but the nuts-and-bolts updates—including replaying all 69 levels (probably more than once), retaking 7,000+ screenshots, reformatting and proofreading 803 pages (main guides and detail pages), not to mention adding achievement/trophy lists and notes—will not happen in a few days. So, I thank you all for your patience.

The remastered games are, at their core, essentially the same as the classics. So my original walkthroughs will definitely help. I've also recently added fantastically detailed level maps by VGCartography. These are linked from the top of each of each walkthrough page. Here's an example, from the TR1 Caves level. (Click the image to enlarge) These are great for when you just want to get the lay of the land and don't need a detailed guide.

If you get stuck or have questions, you're more than welcome to contact me, but if you need a quick response, I'd recommend posting on Twitter and tagging me or asking on the r/TombRaider Subreddit. There are lots of helpful players ready to assist.

Many thanks to the people at Aspyr Media for reviving these fantastic games for a new generation. Here's to a smooth launch! Fellow players, don't forget to share your Photo Mode shots on socials, and tag me if you like. I can't wait to see them!

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered  launches February 14 on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. Pre-order now for a 10% discount.

  1. I can't find a spot for suggestions, but it would be really great to have some kinda "Night Time" option when you view the walk through page on your site. The white background is too much sometimes, a dark gray/black background would be amazing.

Anyways, thanks for the website. I have used it many times over the years and once again am using it to make sure I don't miss any secrets while playing through the remastered version!

  4. You're welcome! I'm still gradually chipping away at remaster updates, but they're coming along little by little. Fortunately the remasters are so faithful to the originals, not much editing is needed. But, of course, I feel the internal pressure to fix things, add lots more screenshots, etc., so I make it harder on myself. Haha!
