If you missed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light when it came out a few years ago for PC and consoles, you can now play it in your Windows or Macintosh web browser. Core Online is offering both free (ad-supported) and paid versions of several games including Guardian of Light, Hitman: Blood Money, and Mini Ninjas (yay!), with Tomb Raider: Underworld and other titles coming soon.
There's no co-op mode in this version, so I'm not sure why the video below shows so much co-op play. Perhaps they plan to add it later. Also, they're clearly still working out some of the kinks. I ran into a couple of minor technical glitches, but once I got the game running, it played beautifully—just like the original version. And you can't argue with the price! ;)
Visit beta.coreonline.com for details. Their help page includes system requirements and troubleshooting tips. For more about the game itself, including my walkthrough and mini-review, visit Stella's Guardian of Light page.

now look at STEAM's System requiremnts and you will why i wrote what i wrote on facebook about this shit
Steam's Lara Croft And The Gurdian of Light's System Requiremnts
System Requirements
OS: Windows 7 / Vista / XP
Processor: 3+ GHz Intel or 2.5+ GHZ AMD
Memory: 1 GB RAM (XP) / 2 GB RAM (Vista)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6 Series (6800GT or better) / ATI 1300XT or better
Hard Drive: 7GB
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card and drivers
My point taken exacutly
I fail to understand CLC's point. The browser based one is done in a java applet, and the other is an executable which has most of the files on the HD. So yeah it's gonna need more RAM that's a given... And same goes for processor power because you sure as hell can't play a java game that uses a lot of RAM and NOT have it use a lot of CPU, so of course you're gonna need something more.
ReplyDeleteThe steam release i.e. the real game doesn't require quad core. It specifically states that it needs a core of 3+ if it's intel and 2.5+ if it's AMD.
I'm pretty sure dude doesn't know what he's rambling about.
Regardless for a free to play browser based release is pretty nice. Especially for hitman. They did a good move.
@ imagoth2004 as you can see what i posted about the system speces for both versions of the games i was just state true fact on spece's and 3+ GHZ if you dont know about computer hardware but a 3+ GHZ is a Quad Core (4) maybe you need to go do some more homework and research on computer parts/hardware parts my man alright i know my stuff when it comes to computer parts and hardware parts i study them and use them on a daily base so i know what im talking about and also know what they do and what they are used for Thank You
