Hi, everyone, and welcome to my new blog. I've started it as an adjunct to my walkthrough site as a place to report on the latest Tomb Raider news and to present a variety of articles and opinion pieces about the Tomb Raider series, Lara Croft and related topics. Since we're in a slow period between games, there isn't a lot of news. So, for now at least, I'll focus on where the series is headed and fun things to do when not raiding tombs.A number of visitors to my site have asked me to create an "About Stella" page. I'd prefer to write more about the games and less about me, but you guys keep asking, so I'm finally giving in. There's a short profile in the sidebar that tells a little bit about me. I will add a more extensive bio soon, along with a little info about how I got into Tomb Raider in the first place. (Has it been 12 years already?!) So stay tuned for that.
Although I'll be doing most of the writing, I don't want this space to be just about me. I'd love it if you would participate too. I have asked several guest bloggers to write articles on the topics that interest them. To kick things off, George Maciver, webmaster of Skribblerz.com, will be discussing the Tomb Raider Level Editor, and Sara from Tombraidercosplay.com will share info on her pet hobby: dressing up as Lara Croft. More guest bloggers will follow.I also plan to include regular poll questions so you can vote on issues that are important to you, and I invite you to comment on my posts. Let me know what you're thinking. Ask questions. Tell me what you'd like to see here.

Hey, Victor. Thanks for commenting. I don't know about the TR2 remake, but it sounds like a topic for a future article (with poll question). To remake or not to remake? Stay tuned.... :)

ReplyDeleteI'm bummed that the Golden Games; TR1 Gold TR2 Gold TR3 Lost Artifact, never came out for anyother systems except the PC. =(

Like you, I got the first TR and having tried Doom and other first person games, Third Person TR and the camera angle was a revelation.
Took me a long time to do the first run through. The next was quicker and before TR2, I could do the whole thing at speed, much quicker than I did one level earlier.
I've got every one since :-)
Hope to read your blog after TR 10, or 11, or ....

ReplyDeleteThat hurts!, better now I am not interested, I'll tell you where jam me, at level 4 home of opera, my dad said that he had an elevator (the already is had advance), and forget to throw the switch again to go up the elevator, then I jam again in 40 fathoms, because it does not locate block phone below the switch roomthe hatch where the land falls, and at first did not know was that thing, then I misfeeds in the level 8 Wreck of the Maria Doria. See the search engine and found your page, and was because not found the movable blocks, me misfeeds in the nine because he was not the hatch that opened the switch near the black eel, again in 10 the deck, all the buildings were so high and I did not know how to move the blocks phones below.

Anonymous, you're welcome to email me but if you don't include your own address, I can't reply, so it doesn't really make sense. I'm not sure how to help you since I don't understand everything you have written. I don't know of a site where you can download Tomb Raider 2. I can't understand exactly where/why you are stuck in the games. What is your native language? Maybe I can send you to another walkthrough site in that language?
ReplyDeleteMy language is Spanish, but it was busy. I stuck in TR2 levels 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10. I had to use a lot your tutorials, but already finished the game completely, the movements is the only thing that went wrong, I'm not saying that I am critical ;).

Incidentally, I finished the game, there is no much to do in your page, perhaps you should play this game again, but you should put something more (If not it away in the trash!).

By that I do not answer?, maybe I should not put more comments, going to believe that this tag is the most commented, but already finished the game and I do not enjoy both your page, there is not much to do on your site. At least should put more pictures in the other games, I like to see how they see the games. And by the way, in the introduction of TR3 fail to specify that they were artifacts, if you can create your page in different languages, that you've seen that they have played Tomb Raider in the america. I hope that do not pay you much. :)

I'm going to take that as constructive criticism. :) I have been trying to add more pictures to all of the walkthroughs, but with a regular job, a family and other projects going on, there just doesn't seem to be enough time for everything I want to do. This site is just a hobby and not a paid job, so I do what I can.
ReplyDeleteI will be updating the Golden Mask walkthrough in a day or two (almost done). Then I hope to work on TR3 before the new Tomb Raider comes out. I'm not sure what you mean about not saying there are artifacts. It's in the first paragraph of the introduction. (???)

And this computer is not mine, so I don't have account on social networks, and does not have a website, we do not have much money to buy another, and this is desktop, so I do not understand the signs that put. I spoke of the original TR2 to update, but if you want to upgrade to mask of gold, and if you do not remember or do not understand me well is Original TR2 of the dagger of Xian, though is by these ruins to hide these secrets in this TR2. The introduction of TR3 (lost artifact) not mentioned that they were artifacts, maybe did you surprise at each level, but still did not understand.

I did just finish an update on TR2 and am almost done with the Golden Mask expansion. I may finish today if I have time.
My Lost Artifact introduction says, "This short, stand-alone sequel to Tomb Raider 3 was released in the spring of 2000. The storyline centers around Lara's search for a fifth artifact created from a piece of the same meteorite featured in TR3." I thought that was fairly clear. No?
