Why Are We Playing for Extra Life?
If you've seen my previous post or follow me on social media, you know I've been promoting this Extra Life thing pretty hard. But in case it's not clear, here's a short video featuring just a few of the reasons why I started Team Tomb Raider Community.
Video produced by Extra Life.
Last year we raised more than $1,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This time we plan to more than double that. Thanks to our 12 team members and several generous donors (so far), we've collected more than $600 toward that goal.
Please help! Click the "Make A Donation" button for details on how to give. If you can't contribute financially, you can help in several other important ways:

Please help! Click the "Make A Donation" button for details on how to give. If you can't contribute financially, you can help in several other important ways:
- Follow me. I've got some fun things lined up in the next few weeks. (Social links are in the right column.)
- Spread the word. Share my updates with your friends, especially the gamers. Please.
- If you have a website or blog, post an announcement, like these by The Archaeology of Tomb Raider, Lara's Tomb, and The Official Tomb Raider Blog. (Thanks, Kelly, Sinead and Meagan!)
- Tune in November 2-3 for our Extra Life marathon livestream. We'll be playing on Livestream.com, streaming some live Tomb Raider, chatting with friends and special guests, giving away some fun little prizes, and generally having a blast. I might even broadcast my first attempt at TR multiplayer. You definitely wouldn't want to miss that epic fail. ;)

TOMB RAIDER for Macintosh Due in Late 2013
Feral Interactive has at last confirmed they will be releasing a Macintosh port of the newest TOMB RAIDER later this year.
Back in September, Dre Anthony, the dirt-digging webmaster of the TombRaiding.com fan site turned up this newly added ratings page on the ESRB site. At the time, Feral wasn't ready to confirm that the game was in production, but now it's official.
Darrell Gallagher, Head of Product Development and Studios at Square Enix told GamaSutra, "We're excited to bring Tomb Raider to the Mac, and in doing so introduce a new audience to Lara Croft's original story. This is one more step on the road to achieving everything we wanted with the game."
Pricing, system requirements, and multiplayer details have not yet been announced, but players can visit Feral Interactive's Tomb Raider microsite and click the "preorder" button to sign up for email updates.
TOMB RAIDER was developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix for Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March. Feral Interactive, based in London, is a leading publisher of games for the Macintosh platform. They have previously worked on the Mac ports of Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Underworld.
Update: Shortly after posting, I received an update from Crystal Dynamics clarifying a few things about the upcoming Mac relase. Thanks to TR Community Manger Meagan Marie for the info.
Will the Mac version be available at retail?
The Mac version of Tomb Raider will be available as a digital download, and also in physical form at selected retailers including the Feral Store, amazon.com and Fry's.
In which countries is the Mac version available?
The Mac version will be available worldwide.
What language options are available for the Mac version?
The in-game text and audio language support will be the same for the PC version. Feral will also provide full FAQs and ReadMes specific to the Mac version of Tomb Raider in several languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Polish and Japanese.
Are all the patches from the PC edition addressed in the Mac version?
The Mac version incorporates all patches and updates from the PC and console versions. It also has additional fixes unique to the Mac version that were not included in these updates. That's one advantage of starting the Mac development a little later.
Can we get different editions of Tomb Raider on the Mac, such as the Survivor or Collector's Edition?
No. The Survivor and Collector's Editions will not be available on the Mac.
