Is anyone serious here? The all-time greatest scene is in TR5 Streets of Rome when Larson and Pierre are on the rooftop and Larson tries to shoot Lara.

I love a lot of them including that one up there. My favorite however would be... well, actually it's in the scene above. The parts with the portal to Nefilhim (I think) I love everything about that portal, especially the sound effects. Actually TR:Underworld has 2 good scenes with that portal. That portal is so interesting I like how it works.

I also like any cut scene with acrobatics. Oh that last scene in TR2! Plenty others too.

The plane crash in TR2 is one of my favorite sequences, it just shows Laras resourcefullness, as well as catching the ferry in TR4. The end level of TR2 is both a favorite scene and level because it again shows Laras resourcefullness; Lara has stripped down and is relaxing, her home gets invaded, so she simply grabs her trusty shotgun and starts throwing out the guests.

There's lots of fodder in TRIII: I don't know what the writers were smoking that day--all the dialogue is very obtuse, but very entertaining. As for my favorite, I think I'll go back to the original where two places really stand out for me. The original opening scene of the whole series shows us in perfect detail what we are about to be up against: scaling walls to find hidden switches, scary wolves, and a great deal of unknown. The elevator cable ascent for some research, then travel to Greece is punctuated by the personality of Lara at the very end of the scene. "Oh, Pierre…you litterbug". gives us a great clue into Lara's head.

My favourite one is either the one at the end of Underworld, the saddest, or the one at the end of Angel of Darkness, where she destroys the Nephilim, and finds Kurtis missing. She smiles, and walks out the hall. I would love to see a remake, AND the second two in the Angel of Darkness, that may not be made. If they are, then I will buy it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I am a fan of the one in this post, I love how she sounds so genuine, so angry.

The cutscene where Alister dies is one of my favourite structurally; I don't think his death was necessary, but they staged it well, it kind of signified the death of Lara's common sense and the awakening of a darker and far more determined side of her. I also love the script: "See you in Avalon" was nice to hear from him, considering his disbelief before. It proved how she really cared for her friends.

I think one of the best of the best has to be the 'selective' cutscene from AOD that allowed you to call a man in Prague an "unsavory little runt". I laughed for days.

I especially like the humor of the early TR game cutscenes, like the one in Nevada where Lara tries to jump a quad bike over a security fence and winds-up crashing end over end. And when the guards arrive, the first one says "Crazy geek freak! What kind of stunt was that to pull?" The other one says "She don't look like one of those, maybe she's an ecoterrorist." Then the first guard replies "They wear hot pants, do they?" But, for me, the all-time funniest is right before Madubu Gorge, when Lara encounters a native tribesman, and the tribesman says "Is well for you, me fasting this day. You make plenty good flesh pot." To which Lara replies "You forget. I might be quite hungry myself. Famished, actually."

The initial cutscene in TR Chronicles. I mean, Lara is in the opera, jumps to the curtain, grabs it and pulls it down. And she gets cheered! Only to be shot in the next second, followed by an extreme chase. That ends in a gorgious look from Lara through bars (not in jail though!).
The scene is just creative, intense, and it's a great start to the game. Love it!

My facourite scene would probably be the cutscene in TR3 London levels, where Lara fights with that guy under the bell. It's soooo funny! "Happy retirement!" :D But I love TR2 scenes too, especially the one in the end. "Don't you think you've seen enough?" :D

Ha! Fooled ya! My favorite scene is *not* the one where Lara goes mental near the end of Legend. It's actually the Tomb Raider 2 FMV between The Deck and Tibetan Foothills levels, in which Lara 'liberates' the leather bomber jacket from Bartoli's pilot. After all that dark and dismal underwater exploration, emerging into the light and then finally getting your hands on some warm clothes is simple but oh so satisfying!
