Lara Croft Relic Run Launches Worldwide

Lara Croft Relic Run has now been released worldwide for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. The game is free (with optional in-app purchases). If, like me, you don't own a compatible mobile device, it's possible to download the Android version from the Google Play Store and run it on your Windows PC or Macintosh using BlueStacks.*

The game seems simple enough on the surface but it can be fiendishly difficult. My friend Kelly from The Archaeology of Tomb Raider nailed it when she tweeted, "Why do they call #RelicRun an 'endless runner'? My runs always end. Often pretty quickly. :-)"

To help take the sting out of Lara's many inevitable in-game deaths, Survivor Reborn has announced a competition for the best ragdoll death screenshots. Head on over to the Survivor Reborn Facebook Page for details.

*BlueStacks is an Android emulator for Windows/Mac. It's legal to use (for free apps or apps you have legally purchased) and allows for in-app purchases through the Play Store; however, it is not officially supported, so there may be some bugs or compatibility issues when playing.

Meanwhile, in an effort to quash unsubstantiated rumors about the game, Microsoft's Xbox division head Phil Spencer has once again confirmed that, Yes, Rise of the Tomb Raider is Still an Xbox Timed Exclusive. Microsoft's E3 2015 presentation, scheduled for Monday, June 15, at 9:30 a.m. PDT, should provide more details. For live coverage, fire up your Xbox or tune in to Spike TV or Xbox.com.
