Lara Croft Relic Run Launches Worldwide

Lara Croft Relic Run has now been released worldwide for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. The game is free (with optional in-app purchases). If, like me, you don't own a compatible mobile device, it's possible to download the Android version from the Google Play Store and run it on your Windows PC or Macintosh using BlueStacks.*

The game seems simple enough on the surface but it can be fiendishly difficult. My friend Kelly from The Archaeology of Tomb Raider nailed it when she tweeted, "Why do they call #RelicRun an 'endless runner'? My runs always end. Often pretty quickly. :-)"

To help take the sting out of Lara's many inevitable in-game deaths, Survivor Reborn has announced a competition for the best ragdoll death screenshots. Head on over to the Survivor Reborn Facebook Page for details.

*BlueStacks is an Android emulator for Windows/Mac. It's legal to use (for free apps or apps you have legally purchased) and allows for in-app purchases through the Play Store; however, it is not officially supported, so there may be some bugs or compatibility issues when playing.

  1. Cheers for the mention, Stella! :-)

As for the game itself...it's merciless. I've been stuck trying to get the 15th Jungle Temple relic for nearly 2 weeks. Granted, I don't play the game that often anymore...but it feels like it's always just out of my reach. :-/

  2. I cheered when I saw on Twitter that you'd unlocked the Sahara area. I finally managed it yesterday. My triumph was short-lived when I saw how hard the new course is. Little by little.... :D

Thanks also for telling me about BlueStacks. I wouldn't even be able to play otherwise. I checked with Crystal Dynamics, and they have no problem with people using and recommending it. They just suggested including the disclaimer that that it’s not officially supported, so there may be some bugs or compatibility issues when playing. I've added that to the post above.
