Tomb Raider Valentine's Day Give-Away

According to my TOMB RAIDER countdown clock, it's only 30 days until the new game comes out and 12 days until Valentine's Day, the birthday of our heroine, Lara Croft. Sounds like the perfect time to give away some swag, no?

Just fill out the form below, let me know which prizes you're interested in, read and agree to the rules, and tell me what you're most looking forward to about the new TOMB RAIDER—either in a comment below, on our Facebook page, or in a tweet (@Stellalune).

The contest finishes February 14, Lara's birthday, at midnight EST. (That's 4:59 a.m. GMT on the 15th.) On or around February 15, I'll fire up the random number generator to pick 10 winners. If you're lucky, you'll receive one of the fabulous prizes listed below. Easy peasy!

  1. I'm looking forward to how the aspect of exploration is handled and how it looks in this new engine of TR. That has always been my fav part of TR. That and doing all of Lara's climbing and acrobatics to solve things.

  2. The thing that am I most looking forward to in the new Tomb Raider is Lara's origin story. When I was little, I would always hole myself away upstairs and play Tomb Raider games for hours on end because the gameplay was amazing but the best part was understanding Lara's character. The more I played the game, the more I feel in love with Lara and the more I felt I understood about her character. Whenever she got hurt, I felt her pain. Whenever she got an artifact, I felt the joy she had. She isn't just any game character to me... She is a dear friend and always will be.

  3. I am looking forward to all the new features of the game and seeing Lara in a whole new light. I am also interested in learning more about her history and how she became who she is. I am curious and interested in how you will be able to build Lara's abilities and get stronger over time. I can't wait to get the new game and I hope that it makes Lara an even better and stronger character! I can't wait!!!!!!

  4. Looking forward to kicking some butt again with my favorite game lady! - RenegadeWolf

  5. Really looking forward to some exploration; the puzzles for me are what make TR. I remember being stuck for hours (if not days!) trying to figure out how to solve different puzzles. I shall not be using survival instinct. I instead will be relying on my traditional 'arrrrghhhh I'M STUCK!!!' instincts.

  6. I'm looking forward to witnessing the new darker graphics style Tomb Raider seems to be taking on...and of course playing through all the puzzles that the game is famous for ;D

  7. I´m so anxious to know the new story... I expect it to be so entretained as the first games. I hope it will have many puzzles to solve and labyrith scenarios... And I agree with Xander, I loved to be "stucked"!!!

  9. When I saw all that story with Sam being kidnapped, this was always in my head: What is going to happen? Is to going to be the same like with Amanda from Legend?
So I am anixious about the story the most, can't wait to see what will happen.. :D

  10. Ah there are so many things I'm looking forward to... The primary thing though is probably the exploration of the island. I think I'm looking forward to it the most because it's what I miss most of all from the classic games. I still love them, but I can never really 'explore' them again because I know them too well. I want to regain that feeling I had, when I was young, of infinite roaming freedom, as Tennyson put it, of
"That untravelled world, whose margin fades
For ever and for ever when I move."

  11. I'm really excited to finally go on another adventure with Lara. I look forward to seeing this "rebooted" TR too. Lara has always been my favorite character and Tomb Raider has always been my favorite game. I know it'll not be entirely the old TR we knew but I'm still happy there making another installment to the series.

  12. I can't say I'm looking forward to the game as I'm a fan of Tomb Raider games, not third person shooters. The story arc of the new "Lara Croft" - going from an ingenue whose first kill is Bambi to a mass murderer all in a few hours - strikes me as more unconvincing and unrealistic than that of classic English aristocrat Lara Croft, who presumably learnt fire arms, survival and sang froid from her family background and at her public schools.

  13. Im looking forward to more lara croft. We seen the good and bad, and the brief series cancellation after AOD. We seen lara go after her mother in Legend, We got Nostalgic in Anniversary and Got sad at the ending of Underworld.

Im fully expecting and looking forward to tons of new Tomb Raider titles! Raid on Stella!

  14. In this new Tomb Raider, I'm looking forward to lots of exploration, an increased difficulty, cool and hard-to-solve puzzles, a really well-written story, and a tougher and less emotional Lara, like the classic one. Am I asking too much? ;)

  15. I'm most looking forward to the exploration and puzzle-solving that has been the backbone of the Tomb Raider series since it began. I'm hoping there are some cool tombs and crazy traps, too, and I'm looking forward to experiencing Lara's revamped story, and discovering what's going on on that island she's stranded on.

  16. I am most looking forward to the origin story. I loved the storyline of Legend and Underworld and I assume they will do a great job with this as well. Also multiplayer is going to be quite fun.

  17. story behind it, new places to see, game difficulty, tricks to learn...ohhh can't wait

  18. I am very much looking forward to my first group experience of figuring out a new Tomb Raider game. I started playing the games in the last three years and so I've never been able to participate in the buzz of a new game before. That gestalt of mutual exploration and joy and sharing will only happen for the first month or so after the release and I think it's going to be a real blast!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Can't wait to become the adventure!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm looking forward to the exploration. The base camp fast travel system looks neat. I love it when a game allows the player to go back to a certain area and allows them to completely explore everything.
The combat also looks sweet! I seriously can't wait to use the stealthy bow in combat. The AI system looks neat too. They way they react to what progress you have made in the game is pretty cool!

  21. Thanks for keepin' the classics alive, Stella! (Feb. 14th - forever!)

Definitely looking forward to the new game and some hype within the community. :)

  22. So excited for the new Lara Croft to enter my life, it's been a while since the last one.

I haven't looked too much into the new game as I don't want to spoil to much and I want to keep most of it a surprise.

Just seeing Lara grow throughout the game is going to be my biggest excitement seeing her becom the lara we all know and love.

  23. I am Looking forward to the story, and of course... the exploring. I always loved exploring in the previous games, and i can't wait to do it again.

I also want to see all the gruesome deaths they've got, not that i enjoy them, some of them are interesting.

And just tomb raider itself, if it's a Tomb Raider, it's okay with me. I can't wait for it to come

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm very interested in the story, how it will tie with the rest of the games; and, the puzzles which have always had the greatest appeal to me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. When i first heared that a new Tomb raider game is coming out i was like WOW! :D Can't wait. I never imagined although that it would be a reboot and a totally different entry to the series. So i am looking forward to see all the new things that were added, like combat or multiplayer....I am intrigued by the challenge tombs and the puzzles that lie within them. Finally, since all tomb raider games until now had an interesting story, i really want to hear this one too.

  26. I'm just excited to be LARA again!!! She is so awesome in every way, and I can't wait to pick up the controller and join her for another adventure. I always am interested in story above all else, so I am curious to see how her character is handled in this game.
Of course, exploration is also key. I can't wait to see all of the new environments Lara finds herself in. It will be fun to see all of the places to explore and interact with... just writing this is making me excited.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I can't wait to get the feeling again of playing Lara. The overall experience of our heroine :) Seeing back the strength and heart for exploration ^^

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm looking forward to a complex story. As a huge Tomb Raider fan, I've loved the gameplay since the beginning, but always thought it would be a prime candidate for a game with a complex and intricate story. Lara has always been such an interesting character, and it will be fantastic to see her interact with other characters and environmental challenges like never before.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Really looking forward to using the bow, hoping it will be a bit more open-world like the old days (I miss getting lost!) and wondering if the skill upgrades will be better than AoD...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Very excited about the new game. This one looks a bit edgier than the last three, which is great. Can't wait!

  31. I'm most looking forward to what is promising to be a compelling, character-driven, cinematic, emotional story of a young woman thrust into an extraordinary situation and how she perseveres and triumphs through the challenges that she encounters. From the environments and the environmental effects to the character animations to the in-engine cutscenes that transition straight from gameplay to the combat with the new auto-cover system to the stealth and bow gameplay to the music by Jason Graves and so very much more, this game looks incredible.

    ReplyDelete
  32. First of all I'm extremely anxious to experience Lara's origin story. I really hope CD managed to give Lara a 'rounder' character. However, with Rhianna Pratchett as the lead writer my expectations are rather high :)
Secondly, since TR has always primarily been an exploration game for me, I'm really looking forward to exploring every inch of that island :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am looking forward most to meeting Lara in a new way never before explored ... A close second to this are the environments and overall visual experience the artistic team has created. All in all this looks like it will be one of the best Tomb Raider games ever created!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I am most looking forward to deeper character development and progression than we have ever seen in a Tomb Raider game. It is exciting to think that we will be able to see Lara come into her own and rise above the challenges of man and nature.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Seeing how Crystal Dynamics will re-transform Lara and her story. I think I'm actually more excited to see what they'll put into future installments after this game. And the improved graphics and gameplay can't hurt ;)

    ReplyDelete
  36. What I expect: exciting beautiful environments with stunning graphics, realistic behavior, different levels of difficulty in solving puzzles and fighting battles. But mostly, what I expect is that the next installment in the series doesn't take as long as this one took, 4+ years without a new game (except Guardian, but that's different) has been really too much.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Most looking forward towards the new upgrade system in the game! The way you have checkpoints (campfires) to upgrade the character really makes it really worth it to finish a certain area just to get to the end and upgrade

    ReplyDelete
  38. Im just excited for a new tomb raider and a new perspective on Lara herself, I have played every tomb Raider game and I have never been this excited about anything, I have booked a week off work for this lol

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have been a Tomb raider fan for years, I have played every single game. One of the main reasons I love TR so much are the puzzles, and I hope they have at least a few.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm most looking forward to how Lara will develop during the game. I'm also looking forward to getting some TR puzzles again in this game. TR reborn seems mysterious to me because it's absolutely different from all the other TR games!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Never have I looked forward to playing another Tomb Raider game so much ever before! The first two games released had me anticipating in excitement, but then the rest didn't do much for me at all...until now (or years ago)! This time it has everything I come to expect of a story driven action shoot game, good looking visuals and companies/developers who give a damn!

I'll be playing this until I've completed it at my own pleasure!

Thank you Stella for this opportunity you're giving to the community! :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm looking forward to learning more about Lara's beginnings, since I'm the kind of guy who loves plot and characterization. Exploring the mysterious island is also a big interest to me!

  43. It would be hard to pick just one thing that I'm most looking forward to about the new Tomb Raider, there are many things that I can't wait to see and experience in-game! Exploration is definitely one of the most important ones. I love wandering around in the beautiful locations in any Tomb Raider game, finding secrets, trying to climb everything. The locations in the upcoming game look wonderful and diverse, which I like. Also, I really can't wait to explore the tombs in the game! As weird as it may sound, I'm hoping to get surprised by some nicely hidden and tricky traps, they either scare me a lot or make me smile at my unawareness.
Puzzle-solving is another thing, which is very important in my eyes, I'm curious about the obstacles we will have to get past. I love the feeling when I suddenly come out of my "I-have-no-idea-what-to-do-with-this"-moments, as after some time of constant thinking I realize the answer. So I'm hoping to say out loud, as a result of the surprise, what Lara used to say when finding something: "Ahaaa"! :)
I like action too in games, when you simply have to run for your life. Also I can't wait to see how the combat works, and try all the different things you can do when sneaking up on some evil guys and getting them out of the way.
And finally, I'm looking forward to seeing how Lara changes, how the happenings on the island affect her, and who she will become in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm looking forward to the game in general. But I also want to explore and survive on the island. Over the past year I started to love bow shooting, so I want that. I'm also very curious about the multiplayer, even though I prefer playing by myself :) Maybe it'll be cool to solve puzzles with other people. An the last thing that comes to my mind that I'm looking forward to is the graphics. They look amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm looking forward to the game in general, and I hope it will be long and with many puzzles like in the old games.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I know I can't afford the game once it comes out, but I'm definitely eager to try out the new systems. This game will be very different from any of the past franchises and Lara Croft is just plain amazing. The developers did a great job on the graphic qualities and game content. The multiplayer system is also a feature that I am hoping to be able to try out. Can't wait to play this game and counting down until the game releases :D Good luck on everyone on the contest!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi, Stella and congrats for your awesome contest!
I've been waiting for this game and I can't believe there are only 24 days left! I'm really looking forward for new adventures, solving puzzles, discovering the island and, of course, raiding tombs!
Also, the reboot story and the multiplayer mode attract me and can't wait to use the bow!
    Good luck to everyone :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. I hope in the new TR there will be new and more intresting puzzles to solve, new movements and features and of course I hope it won't be too difficult :D

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm mostly interested in story and exploring new dungeons and tombs. Also looking forward to challenging puzzles, awesome scenery and tough enemies.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well, as you know, I've already played it! But I'm really looking forward to actually taking my time and exploring. I didn't do too much of that when I played the early demo. The locations seemed like they had a lot of real depth to them, and I know I found some areas that were not yet reachable! I can't wait to upgrade and be able to explore those areas. I'm anxious to find all the treasures!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I grew up with Lara playing her numerous adventures on my PlayStation. I always loved playing them and after seeing trailers and gameplay footage for the new game, I got excited. I love how the game is telling you how Lara became a treasure hunter. The weapons like the bow look extremely satisfying to use. The open world aspect also makes me feel really excited to get my hands on this game. Its about time I got to be reunited with my favorite video game character.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hi Stella, thanks again for the great site! I'm a long-time fan of both Lara and your web site, and when a new TR game is released I am always excited to play it. This is especially exciting because it's a re-boot of TR, but also the characters and environments appear to be more realistic than ever, which could make it more immersive.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'm relatively new to the Tomb Raider world, but I look forward eagerly to a game with a great female protagonist and lots of exciting action.

    ReplyDelete
  54. The concept of Lara becoming a resourceful survivor is what I'm eager to experience in the new game. It looks like the creators have put a lot of talent and effort into fleshing out her character, and that's good news when it comes to my favorite adventurer.

    ReplyDelete
  55. They keep telling us that the multiplayer will be good so that is what i am most looking forward to trying out. Thanks for the chance to win and good luck to everyone! @MrNerveDamage

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'm always looking forward to every opportunity to see a female in a lead role, the hero, a protagonist leading her own storyline. Girls AND boys need powerful women rolemodels. Lara Croft has what it takes to fill it and I'm extremely anxious to see her become even more real in the new game!

    ReplyDelete
  57. From GamerDave...

So looking forward to the newest technology in game design and how it was applied to this latest version of Tomb Raider. New realistic artwork, smoother action, hopefully better weapons, and lots of FUN!! OH! Of course, also looking forward to Stella's awesome walkthrough's!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Can't wait to play a new Tomb Raider from a fresh perspective. I'm also looking forward to her new adventures and seeing how see will interact with the differant locations and characters.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I can't wait to see how CD is going to shape the "new" Lara

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm really looking forward to see what CD can do with 'their' Lara. I love classic Lara, and I really hope the two can be seen as the same character, but with twists that make her backstory worth the trouble of telling. I think they've come a long way in understanding the character and the franchise in the last few games, and it's going to be great to see what happens now that the training wheels are off.

    ReplyDelete
  61. ...well I hope there'll be some legends involved that can be investigated.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'm looking forward to completely losing myself in a fantastic game that i know i'm not going to want to stop playing right from the start, also loving the storyline and how they have bought the game back to the story's roots.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm looking forward to the multiplayer mode!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I am most looking forward to the new gmaeplay and story style. The other Tomb Raider's had good stories, but the games were sort of "arcade-ish". This game is going to much more intense and focused around pulling you into the game. Can't wait.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'm looking forward to the gameplay, I think it will be a bit like AOD (my favourite TR game of all time) and I think it will be much better than when they switched to Crystal Dynamics... I CAN'T WAIT! I LOVE TR TO DEATH!

    ReplyDelete
  66. What am I looking forward to in the new game? Well, pretty much the evolution of our heroine. I want to see how the development was handled! And the multiplayer.

    ReplyDelete
  67. There is so much I am excited about! Being able to play as Lara, searching through the 'hubs', and watching the story line unfold are a few of them.

    ReplyDelete
