Tomb Raider 30-Day Challenge Day 19: Do you own any Tomb Raider merchandise besides the games?

UPDATE: This month-long challenge has officially finished, but you're still welcome to post your comments below at any time. We'd love to hear what you think.

I know some of you are avid Tomb Raider memorabilia collectors, since you shared pictures of your swag with us in July (article here). If you didn't submit your collection then, now's your chance to tell us about it. Or if, like me, you're not a collector, tell us why.

Darlene's Tomb Raider collection is one of several featured in the "Lara's Hidden Treasures" article.

  1. No, I'm not much of a collector. I try to get my hands on cool Tomb Raider stuff when I can, and other players seem to enjoy sending me things, but I usually pass them along to y'all in various contests and give-aways. I have limited space in my little apartment, and for me it's a lot more fun to give than to receive. :)

  2. I'm not a collector, that sort of thing has just never appealed to me. So other than the 6" wet suited action figure I bought specifically for the aquarium, I don't own any memorabilia.

  3. I've never really thought about it, but I don't own any other TR stuff except for two Steve Varner statues. I'm happy that way...all I need is a console and games. Hmmm, does anyone still use the word 'console' when talking about gaming? Anyhoo, Stella - you rock!

  4. I would like to have more stuff, but I'm fine with what I have: two statues, the Underworld and Anniversary ones. Plus, I have a ton of magazines with Lara on the cover. And all the games of course ^^
Although I like this kind of stuff, I spend my little money in other things. If I ever become rich, I will feast on TR memorabilia ^^

  5. I don't believe I have any TR merchandise at all... I would love to own some of the Tonner dolls though, the Lara and Amanda ones are awesome!
I think that if I weren't just a student with literally no money all the time I would have quite a collection of merch. I've even retained one of those little LARA merchandise booklets from the PS1 game box in the vain hope that I may someday still be able to buy the stuff XD

(and honestly I sometimes thinks displays like above are a bit scary..)

  7. I'm not a collector. I occasionally buy stuff to give away as prizes in the Village Of Tokakeriby Tomb Raider Story competitions.

  8. I'm not an active collector, but I have 1 item.

Way back in 2001, Taco Bell had a contest for the TR movie and I kept the contest ticket as a memento. It had a pic of the movie logo with Ang.Jolie on it.

  9. Im not really a collector but I do own a Lara Croft Tonner doll my mother got for me.
The only reason Im not a collector is mainly because I dont really have enough space for it all LOL

  10. One of my hobbies is collecting Tomb Raider merchandise from the first five games, but you'd need to be a millionaire to get your hands on some of that stuff. :/ My most recent purchase was three figurines from the discontinued magazine series, which I found in France; I walked into a comic book store, said "Bonjour! Je voudrais Tomb Raider?" and then breathe a sigh of relief when the shop assistant revealed he spoke almost fluent English. Unfortunately, two of my figurines have been dismembered by careless dusting. :(

Highlights of the rest of my collection include a pencil case and the Female Icon Album (featuring Rhona Mitra singing as Lara Croft). Also, it's not official, but my mum knitted me a small Lara Croft doll. And a Larson one, actually...

  12. I'm not into collectint TR stuff, I actually collect Star Wars stuff, therefore my money is elsewhere.

I do have a small Lara action figure that a nephew of mine gave me as a gift. It was used and not very well taken care of but it still had its gun belt and both guns and I like it.

Paradoxically, I have very few Star Wars video games, less than TR games.

  13. Collecting is expensive! There are only a couple of things I collect for, but I can't say that Tomb Raider is really one of them (in spite of the fact that the amount of TR stuff I own rivals the amount of stuff I have for the things I say I collect). I have all the games for one system or another, both movies, a Legend poster from a GI magazine, The Art of Tomb Raider set, one novel (The Lost Cult), and an Underworld t-shirt.

  14. I've got all PSX/PC games with gold editions; PS2 and Xbox360 Legend, Anniversary and Underworld; I've got also Legend, Anniversary and Underworld official guides; four figurines (TR3 pacific, TRLR, Anniversary and Underworld); three novels, comics, a T-shirt (Legend) and few magazine posters.
It's really poor compared with some collector's stuff but I haven't enough space.

  16. i wish, i closest collection of TR i have is the games, and one of her movies. most of the old games work as a soundtrack on cd player so i have the sound track of 1 and 2

  17. I own a few items, mainly comics (I even have a couple of rare ones - issues limited to 250, 500, 1.000... signed and unsigned, in English and German), some statues/busts/figurines, and basically everything that crosses my path without me having to invest too much money.

  18. I have a large collection, though still wanting more, like the Adam Hughes-designed statues. My collection so far includes all the games (for multiple formats), all the books and comics, the movies, 36 figures, countless posters, four lifesize cardboard cutouts, and Rhona Mitras two music albums.

  19. I'm a collector of the games, haha. But as far as the other collectibles are concerned a.) I'm just not interested in sinking my money into that kind of thing, and b.) I know that if i ever did become interested in collecting, I would get so into it, and I just don't have the space, haha.

  20. I'm mainly a book collector, so I bought the Legend, Anniversary, Underworld and Survivor official guides, and I have the new Tomb Raider comics. I only played my first game in 2011, so I'm a bit late for the big stuff, like the old comics and films.
